Introducing the Drape Light by Jamie Wolfond for Moooi, where two elements— shade and light—cast a shape that is both captivating and functional. The 3D-knitted polyester shade gently rests on two minimalistic glass tubes encapsulating LED lights. Working with gravity, the organic shade sits on the light source to create a
striking ephemeral and sculptural form. This innovative lighting transcends the ordinary, showcasing a harmonious relationship between its 3D-knitted polyester curvy shade and illuminated tubes.
Wolfond’s design journey begins with an observation of the material and natural world and evolves through hands-on experimentation. In collaboration with Moooi, Wolfond created an aesthetically impactful and charming light.
