Dwarf species of monitor from Australia. Makes an excellent pet for those wanting a monitor but don't have the space. Intelligent and extremely well adapted to wedging between narrow spaces between rocks, they require a basking site of 57 degrees C/ 135 F, and sandy soil that allows the formation of burrows, which will also provide the humidity they crave in such a baking environment. Can be tamed down with dedication and time, and a lot of positive reinforcement.
